8 Rohingyas among 9 held while trying to enter India illegally

Locals in Moulvibazar's Juri upazila today caught nine people, including eight Rohingyas, who were trying to illegally enter India through the Nalapunji border.
They were handed over to police, Inspector Abdul Mannan of Juri Police Station told our local correspondent.
During initial interrogation, eight Rohingyas and one Bangladeshi confessed that they were trying to enter India illegally, the official said, adding that they will take legal action soon.
According to police and witnesses, locals detained the nine people around 5:00am today from Nalapunji border.
The locals informed Goalbari Union Parishad Chairman Abdul Qayyum about the matter and later handed over the detainees to police.
