429 BNP men sued over vandalism at Khulna Railway Station, attacking AL office
Two cases have been filed against at least 429 leaders and activists of local BNP on charge of vandalising Khulna Railway Station and attacking Awami League office in the city during the BNP's divisional rally yesterday (October 22, 2022).

Station master Manik Chandra Sarkar filed the case against 150-170 unnamed BNP men with Khulna Railway Police Station, said Rabiul Hasan, superintendent of Khulna Railway Police.
None was arrested in the case yet, our local correspondent reports quoting police.
The BNP men allegedly vandalised the main entrance and widow glasses of the station after a clash broke out with police yesterday (October 22, 2022).
The clash reportedly took place when police was obstructing the BNP men, who came to attend BNP's divisional rally in Khulna. Police also charged batons on the BNP leaders and activists to disperse them, witnesses said.
Police, however, denied the allegation, saying they were performing their duties patiently.
Besides, another case has been filed against 259 BNP men on charges of attacking AL office of Ward No 6 in Daulatpur area of Khulna city yesterday noon.
Kazi Mobakhkher, religious affairs secretary of Khulna Ward No 6 unit AL, filed the case against 59 named people and 200 unidentified people, said Kazi Kamal Hossain, officer-in-charge of the police station.
According to the case statement, the accused attacked the Awami League office last afternoon and beat up several leaders and activists of AL.
OC Kazi Kamal Hossain said no accused has been arrested in the case. A drive is underway to arrest them.
