3 'muggers' arrested over stabbing trainee pilot in Savar
Police last night arrested three "muggers" for snatching a mobile phone from a trainee pilot after stabbing him in Savar on October 6.
The trio-- Md Sujan, 28, Ashiq,25, and Rakibul Hasan,18, -- were arrested from different parts of Savar last night, said Abdulhil Kafi, additional superintendent of police in Dhaka, at a press conference this noon, reports our local correspondent.
He said four criminals stabbed the trainee pilot SK Faisal and snatched his mobile phone and wallet in Savar's Razashon area around 3:00am on October 6 while he was returning to his house from Bangladesh Flying Academy in the capital.
Later, locals rescued him and admitted him to Savar Upazila Health Complex.
Following the day, the victim filed a case against unknown persons with Savar Model Police Station.
Addl SP Abdulhil Kafi said after an investigation police identified the three involved in the incident and arrested them along with the snatched mobile phone.
Police also recovered the snatched mobile phone and two knives from their possessions.
They were also accused in several narcotics cases filed with different police stations, added the police official.
