2 'Proloy gang' members suspended from DU
The Dhaka University authorities today suspended two of its students who were known for their involvement with "Proloy gang", which recently came under the spotlight for different reasons.
The suspended students are: Naimur Rahman Durjoy, a student of anthropology department, and Sakib Ferdous, a student of accounting and information system department.
DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Akhtaruzzaman suspended them on charge of tarnishing the image of the university and breaching discipline.
Yesterday, Shahbagh police arrested them allegedly for assaulting a fellow student inside the campus on Saturday evening.
