2 arrested for doctoring photos of female journalist

Police arrested two youths in connection with doctoring photos of a female journalist into an obscene video and spreading those on social media.

The arrestees are Nur Hossain Nur, a Jubo Dal man from Chattogram and Sajib Mia, an activist of Sabujbagh Thana unit of Chhatra Adhikar Parishad, said Md Asaduzzaman, deputy commissioner of Gulshan Division Police, at a press briefing at his office today.

Nur and Sajib were arrested from Chattogram and Narsingdi respectively after the journalist of a private television channel filed a case at Gulshan Police Station on February 3 under the Pornography Control Act, he said.

During primary interrogation, the arrestees told that they spread the obscene video on the instructions of Tariqul Islam Tonmoy, vice-president of Sabujbagh Thana Committee of Chhatra Adhikar Parishad and a senior leader of Jubo Dal, added the DC.
