18 bombs recovered near Khulna temple
Members of Rapid Action Battalion have recovered 18 bombs next to a temple in Khulna's Rupsha upazila.
Lt Cornel Mostaq Ahmed, director of Rab-6, confirmed the matter to The Daily Star last night.
After being informed by locals, the bomb disposal unit of Rab cordoned off the area and started the operation to recover the bombs, he said.
They recovered a total of 18 bombs from the spot, he added.
The bombs were defused at the bank of Rupsha river, the Rab official said, adding that they have stepped up activities to ward off any untoward incident centring the ongoing Durga Puja.
