Youth dead, 3 injured in motorcycle accident in Dhaka

A youth died and three were injured in an accident in Demra area of Dhaka early today.

The deceased was identified as Sohel (30), said Md Bachchu Mia, inspector of Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police Outpost.

The accident happened around 12:30am when the deceased and his friends were roaming around on two motorcycles after attending the wedding of Sohel's younger brother, said Rasel Ahmed, a friend of the deceased.

Sumon Mia (27) and Avin (29) were on the pillion of Sohel's bike whereas Sumon (28) was riding the other motorcycle, Rasel said, adding that they lost control over the vehicles after reaching Konapara area.

The injured were rushed to DMCH where doctors declared Sohel dead, Bachchu Mia added.

The body was kept in DMCH morgue for autopsy.
