Two dead in Pabna road accident

Two people were dead and three others were injured when a covered-van of a courier service hit a three-wheeler van at Saraikandi area of Pabna-Rajshahi highway in Ishwardi upazila today.

The deceased were identified as Selim Sardar (35) and Rakib Uddin (32), reports our local correspondent.

Quoting eyewitnesses and locals, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Pakshi Highway Police Station, Md Rezaul Bashar, said that the accident occurred around 12pm when the courier service's van hit a three-wheeler passenger van from behind. Selim and Rakib died on the spot.

Three others were injured, said the OC, adding that police seized the covered-van but its driver managed to flee.
