Train hits truck in Natore; rail communication halted for 5 hours

A train hit a freight truck when it attempted to cross Tebaria level crossing breaking the rail gate on the outskirts of Natore early today.
Following the accident, rail communication between Natore and Dhaka remained suspended for five hours from 3:30am, reports our local correspondent.
Ashok Kumar Chakraborty, stationmaster at Natore Railway Station, said Kurigram Express from Dhaka hit the truck on the level crossing on Natore-Dhaka highway.
The truck skidded off 400 meters from the spot but no one was injured, he said.

The driver of the truck and his assistant fled the scene after accident.
The train service on the route resumed around 8:30am
