Tourist dies in Rangamati road accident

A man died after a human haulier, locally known as 'Chander gari' hit his motorbike in Bagaichhari upazila of Rangamati this afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Md Tanvir Ahmed of Chattogram, our Rangamati correspondent reports quoting Nurul Haque, officer-in-charge of Sajek Police Station.

Sajek Union Parishad Chairman Atulal Chakma said the vehicle hit the motorcycle at eight-number para of Sajek around 2:00pm, leaving Tanvir injured.

Locals took the injured to the Khagrachhari's Dighinala Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead, OC Nurul added.
