Three burnt in Dhaka’s Sayedabad

Three persons suffered burns after a fire broke out in their tin-shed room in Dhaka's Sayedabad area early today.
The injured -- Md Razu Mia (60), a watch mechanic; Shahjahan (54), a transport worker; and Jaynal Ahmed (61), a workshop employee -- were rushed to Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery with 30 to 54 percent burns.
Their conditions are critical, said Aiyub Hossain, a resident surgeon of the institute.
The fire originated around 2:00 am when the three were sleeping inside the room in Koratitola area, Alamgir Hossain, a neighbour, said.
"They all were trapped inside the room until we doused the blaze and rescued them," he said.
