Student crushed to death by train

A 25-year-old woman died after being run over by a train in Rangpur on Tuesday evening.

Shiuly Barman, 25, daughter of Khitish Chandra Barman of Balakumar area in Rangpur, was a postgraduate student of political science at Begum Rokeya College.

She was killed at a level-crossing in Lalbagh around 6:30pm, said Station Master Sankar Ganguli of Rangpur Railway Station.

Police said her body was handed over to her family members.
