Steel Mill Blast: Two more die, death toll now 3

Two more workers -- who suffered burns in an explosion at a Narayanganj steel mill factory -- died yesterday, raising the death toll to three.

Shoriful Islam, 26, and Saiful Islam, 30, died at at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery around 12:30pm, said residential surgeon Dr Toriqul Islam.

On Monday, Mozammel Haque, 30, another worker died there. Five workers were injured in the blast at Sharmin Steel Ltd in Siddhirganj on Saturday, said Siddhirganj Police Station OC Golam Mostofa.

An explosion in a gas pipeline caused the fire. The other two injured workers -- Iqbal Hossain, 25, and Jakaria, 20.
