SSC examinee dies in Panchagarh road accident

An SSC examinee was killed and another was injured in a road accident in Panchagarh's sadar upazila this morning.

The deceased was identified as Habibur Rahman, 16. The injured is Md Shamim, another 16-year-old, reports our Thakurgaon correspondent quoting Officer-in-Charge of Panchagarh Police Station Abdul Latif Mia.

The OC said the accident happened when the two were on their way to take part in a practical examination of agriculture in the Government Girls' High School exam centre.

Shamim lost control over his bike on Mirgarh-Fakirhat road in Jatanpukhuri Litchutala village and hit an electric pole, the police official said quoting witnesses.

Locals brought the seriously injured duo to Panchagarh Sadar Hospital where the doctor declared Habibur dead. Shamim was undergoing treatment at the hospital, the OC said.
