One dead, 3 injured in Chattogram road crash

A man died and three others were injured in a head-on collision between two buses at Patiya in Chattogram this morning.

The deceased was identified as Md Rubel, 25, of Patharghata in the port city, police said.

Around 7:00am, a bus bound for Chandanaish upazila collided with another heading to the port city on the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway, said Snehangshu Bikash Sarkar, officer-in-charge of Patiya Highway Police Station.

Rubel, a passenger of one of the buses, died on spot, the OC added.

The injured were admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.

Police seized the buses while the drivers managed to flee the scene, he said.
