Oil wagon-lorry collision leaves 1 dead in Chattogram
A man was killed last night when an oil-carrying wagon of Bangladesh Railway collided with a lorry with containers of hydrogen peroxide in Chattogram's Saltgola rail crossing area.
The deceased was identified as Lavlu, who used to share rides on his motorcycles for a living, said Sanjay Kumar Sinha, officer-in-charge of Bandar Police Station.
Lavlu, who happened to be on the spot, was crushed under a container from the lorry and died on the spot, the OC said.
The incident took place around 10:20pm, cutting off communication on the Airport Road, reports our correspondent.
