A woman and her daughter died after being electrocuted in Pabna's Sadar upazila this morning.

The deceased were identified as Jahanara Khatun, 55, and her daughter Alesa Khatun, 35, of Hatora village under Dapunia union, reports our Pabna correspondent.

Quoting locals, Dapunia Union Parishad Chairman Omar Faruk said Alesa came in contact with a live wire when she was hanging her clothes to dry

Her mother rushed to her aide after hearing her screams but Jahanara also ended up being electrocuted.

Both died on the spot, the chairman added.
