Mirsharai tragedy: Ridwan's dream for higher studies abroad shattered

Ridwan Chowdhury was preparing to go to Europe for his higher education. He also filed the required paperwork. But his dream was cut short by the tragic accident in Chattogram yesterday (July 29, 2022).

Eleven people, including Ridwan, died after a train hit their microbus on a level crossing in Mirsharai upazila yesterday.

Ridwan was laid to rest after his namaz-e-janaza this (July 30, 2022) morning at 10:30am, reports our local staff correspondent.

"He was my youngest son. Since class nine, he paid for his educational expenses by providing tuitions," his father Shamsul Alam was saying standing next to his grave.

Ridwan, the youngest among five siblings, was a fourth-year student of philosophy at Chittagong College.

His cousin Shamsun Nahar said, "I don't know how to live without everyone's beloved brother."
