Hit by motorcycle, elderly woman dies in Panchagarh  

An elderly woman died after a motorcycle hit her on Panchagarh-Banglabandha highway in Tentulia upazila of Panchagarh district this evening.

The deceased was Jobeda Khatun (75), wife of Ismail Hossain of Khaykhatpara village in the upazila, reports our Thakurgaon correspondent.

Jahangir Alam Khan, officer-in-charge of Tentulia Highway Police Station, said the motorbike hit the woman in Khaykhatpara village around 5:15pm while she was crossing the road in front of her house.

Meanwhile, police seized the motorbike from the spot but the biker managed to flee the scene, said the OC.

The process to file a case with Tentulia Police Station in this connection is underway, the OC added.
