Gazipur cylinder blast: All 5 injured now dead

One more person, who sustained burn injuries in a gas cylinder explosion at a filling station in Gazipur on October 13, died early today (October 31, 2022).

With him, all the five persons who sustained burn injuries in the incident, have passed away.

Anwarul Islam (27), a wielding mechanic, breathed his last around 12:15am while being treated at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, said SM Aiyub Hossain, resident surgeon of the hospital.

He had 35 percent burns on his body, he said.

The five persons were injured in the blast at a filling station in Gazipur's Gachha Barabari area while refilling gas cylinders.
