Fire at DU’s Sufia Kamal Hall doused
A fire that broke out at a building in Sufia Kamal Hall of the Dhaka University campus tonight has been doused.
Two units of fire fighters rushed to the spot and doused the fire around 9:25pm, Abdul Halim, assistant director of Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters, told The Daily Star.
He said a student went out from her room after keeping an iron machine close to an electrical wire and the fire originated from there at around 9:15pm.
No major damage was reported due to the fire, he added.
A student said the fire broke out at room 806 of the building. The room was locked but smoke was coming out from it, the student added.
No injury or casualty was reported till filing this report.
