Fire at Baridhara building doused

A fire that broke out at a building in Dhaka's Baridhara area this afternoon has been doused after nearly one and half an hour.

The fire was doused around 5:38 pm, said Rozina Akter, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters.

However, there were no reports of casualties in the fire.

The fire erupted around 4:25pm on the fourth floor of a five-storey building at Block J.

On information, six firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control at 5:20pm, the official earlier said.

The fire was completely extinguished around 5:38pm, added Rozina Akter.

The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
