A farmer was killed after being hit by a microbus on the Panchagarh-Banglabandha highway in Panchagarh's Tentulia upazila yesterday.

The Panchagarh-bound vehicle hit Fazlur Rahman, 65, of Tirnoi Dagarbari village, in front of Goalgoch BGB camp while he was crossing the road, said Zakir Hossain Mollah, officer-in-charge of Tentulia Highway Police Station.

Locals rescued and rushed him to Tentulia Health Complex with critical injuries. He died while undergoing treatment.

The driver fled the scene after the accident, the OC said, adding that a case was filed with Tentulia Police Station in this regard.
