Accident killing 5 brothers: Roktim transferred to CMCH, condition still critical
Roktim Sushil, one of the seven victims of the Chakaria tragedy, has been transferred from Chattogram General Hospital (CGH) to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) for better treatment.
Since Wednesday, Roktim was receiving treatment at CGH's ICU.
"We referred him to CMCH because we don't have a pulmonologist or a neurosurgery consultant," CGH superintendent Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi told The Daily Star.
Roktim was still unconscious and admitted to CMCH's ICU last afternoon, said Prof Dr Noman Khaled Chowdhury, the hospital's head of neurosurgery.
"He had a brain hemorrhage and multiple fractures," Dr. Chowdhury said, adding that his condition was still critical.
Meanwhile, leaders of Bangladesh Hindu Foundation visited CMCH yesterday to learn more about Roktim's health. They communicated with his family and offered financial assistance.
