At least five vehicles were torched in various areas of the country, including Dhaka, in the 24 hours from 6:00am yesterday, the fire service said.

Two vehicles were set on fire in Gazipur and one each in Dhaka, Bagerhat, and Sirajganj.

Three buses and two trucks were damaged in the arson attacks.

Eight units of fire service and 42 personnel worked to douse the fires.
