4 die in road crashes

At least four people died in road accidents in Panchagarh and Jhenidah yesterday.

In Panchagarh's Debiganj upazila, Touhidul Islam, 35, Sheikh, 48, Saleque, 35, and Almas Ali, 56 -- all residents of Titopara -- died after their bike hit a tractor parked on the Debiganj-Boda road.

In Jhenidah's Kaliganj upazila, Roni Islam, 32, run over by a lorry while he was talking on the phone near Mobarakganj Sugar Mills, said police.

He was declared dead at the upazila health complex.
