2 sisters among 3 killed in Pabna road accident
Three people including two sisters died and another was injured when a locally made vehicle, Nasiman, hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Dariapur area under Aminpur police station in Pabna this afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Sinthia, 5, and her 2-month-old sister Ayesha, repots our Pabna correspondent.
They were daughters of Sobuj Rana of Boalia village. The identity of the other deceased could not be known immediately.
The mother of the two victims Bilkis Begum was critically injured in the accident, Md Rawshan Alom, officer-in-charge of Aminpur Police Station, said. She is now undergoing treatment at Pabna General Hospital.
The OC said the victims were going to Kashinathpur from Boalia in a CNG-run auto-rickshaw.
The accident happened when a Nasiman hit the auto-rickshaw from behind at Dariapur area, leaving the three dead on the spot and one injured, added the OC.
On information, police rushed to the spot and rescued the victims and sent the injured to Pabna General Hospital.
The Nasiman driver managed to flee from the scene, the OC added.
