2 killed in road crash

Two men were killed in a road crash in Mymensingh's Gouripur upazila on Wednesday night.

The dead are Humayun Kabir, 20, a CNG-run three-wheeler driver, and Rubel Mia, 32, said police.

Humayun's CNG-run three-wheeler collided head-on with a sand-laden truck on Mymensingh-Netrakona road in Charpara area around 11:30pm on Wednesday, said Mahmudul Islam, officer-in-charge of Gouripur Police Station, quoting locals.

The three-wheeler driver died on the spot while Rubel breathed his last at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, he said.

Three others were injured in the accident. They were taken to the hospital.
