2 die as truck hits motorbike in Tangail

Two people died this morning when a truck collided with a motorcycle in Tangail's Sakhipur upazila.

The accident happened around 9:30am in the Patha old market area on the Sakhipur-Batajor road, reports our Tangail correspondent quoting Local UP Chairman Anwar Hossain.

The deceased was identified as Masud Rana, 28, of Bagber village in the upazila and his nephew Shakil Ahmed, 17.

When the two reached the old market area, their motorcycle collided head-on with a truck, said the UP chairman. Masud and Shakil died on the spot.

The truck was seized by the mob. However, its driver escaped, he said.

No case has been filed in this regard yet, said Sakhipur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Rezaul Karim.
