2 dead in bus-human hauler collision: Another dies at DMCH
A man, injured with four others in a bus and a human hauler collision this afternoon, died at 9:45pm tonight while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
The deceased was identified as Milan Gazi (45), Inspector Md Bacchu Miah, in-charge of DMCH Police Outpost confirmed the development to The Daily Star.
Inspector Bacchu Miah said two injured were brought to the hospital. "Of them, Milan Gazi died tonight while another injured succumbed to his injuries earlier in the afternoon," he added.
Earlier in the day, two persons including a college student died and five others were injured after a bus and a human hauler collided in Dhaka's Mirpur Beribandh area this afternoon.
Aminul Islam, officer-in-charge of Shah Ali Police Station said the human hauler and the bus collided around 2:00 pm leaving seven persons injured.
They were rushed to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital where one died. Several of the injured were later taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where another injured passed away around 5:00 pm, he said.
Police seized both the bus and human hauler but the bus driver fled. The human hauler driver is among the injured, the OC said.
