2 crushed under train wheels in Tangail

Two people were crushed under the wheels of a train in Kalihati upazila of Tangail early today.
Informed by locals, local Government Railway Police (GRP) recovered the bodies of Sagar, 35, and Sajeeb, 33, this morning, reports our Tangail correspondent.
Locals said a train hit the two in Hatia area of Joydebpur-Bangabandhu railway line around 2:30am.
According to locals, a vehicle hit the private car carrying Sagar and Sajeeb in Hatia on the east side of Bangabandhu Bridge when they were going to Pabna from Dhaka in the wee hours of today.
The two managed to come out of the car and were walking on the railway tracks when the accident occurred, they said.
Confirming the accident, Fazlul Huq, in-charge of Tangail Railway Station, told The Daily Star that the bodies will be handed over to their families after autopsy.
Both Sagar and Sajeeb hailed from Santhia upazila of Pabna.
