Bangladesh, India to team up on textile, jute
Bangladesh and India will sign a deal in New Delhi to promote bilateral cooperation in textiles and jute on Monday.
Textile and Jute Minster Abdul Latif Siddique, who will pay an official visit to New Delhi on August 19, is expected to sign the deal with his Indian counterpart KS Rao.
The memorandum of understanding on textiles will pave the way for cooperation in fashion technology, skill exchange, and productivity enhancement, techno-commercial collaboration in development of textiles including upgrading and enhancing production efficiency.
It will also support sharing of management techniques, training, participation in trade exhibitions and buyer-seller meets, and provide for supply of agreed quantum of jute and jute goods from Bangladesh to India every year, the High Commission of India said in a statement.
