Creator of Muslim women auction app ‘Sulli Deals’ arrested: Delhi police
Indian police today arrested the alleged creator of "Sulli Deals" App, which targeted Muslim women, from the central Indian city of Indore.
Aumkareshwar Thakur, the 'mastermind' who created the "Sulli Deals" App on GitHub to auction women online, has been arrested and is being questioned, said Deputy Commissioner of Delhi Police KPS Malhotra, Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO).
"He was the member of Trad-Group on Twitter made to troll Muslim women," our New Delhi correspondent reports quoting Malhotra.
A few days ago, the Delhi Police arrested Niraj Bishnoi, the alleged mastermind and creator of the 'Bulli Bai' App also targeting Muslim women.
Police sources said Bishnoi, a student held from Jorhat in Assam, has revealed that he had the habit of hacking into and defacing the websites of schools and universities of both India and Pakistan.
They also said that Bishnoi has disclosed during interrogation that he was also in touch with the person behind the Twitter handle @sullideals, the alleged creator of the "Sulli Deals" app that was hosted on GitHub in July last year.
Last week, Mumbai police arrested four youths -- all students -- in connection with the "Bulli Bai" App case.
