Adequate fund for Khulna dev demanded

Greater Khulna Development Action Coordination Committee at a sit-in at Picture Palace intersection in the city yesterday raised its 18-point demand, including an adequate fund in the upcoming budget for implementation of different projects in the region.The committee also announced a four-day programme including handing over memorandum to the prime minister on April 10.
Its other demands include natural gas supply through pipelines to south-western region, making Khulna Railway Station into a modern one, and a deep sea port at Akram point near Mongla.
