ABORTO
Storyline:
It is a story of alienation from loved ones in terms of sensitivity, feeling and emotion. The film portrays a vortex of emotions, drama and relationships between Shyamal, Charu, Hari, Duli, Runu.
Review:
Aborto came with hype – our own Jaya Ahsan played the role of Charu, however, the attraction it teased us with was doused with predictability and unnecessary dragging. The biggest drawback was the spoiler issue. The viewer could tell the ending of each story within few minutes of the film running. Once one knows what is coming, the stretching of the story turned into boring waste of time.
However, the characters were well played by the actors. Jaya Ahsan played 'Charu' was the zest that made the film watchable. Other significant characters like; Shyamal Sen and Runu played respectively by Tota Roy Chowdhury and Saswata Chatterjee were perfect on the roles. Hari Bose, another interesting character of the story is a playboy cricketer. The character's role as a womanizer was well played out. He played a vital role in Aborto , which was paralleled with the main story, in turn changed the dimension of the film.
It is a movie that one must watch to find Jaya Ahsan becoming an international actor. She was well appreciated in Kolkata for her acting. Film critics are expecting more from Jaya.
