Abdul Baaquie passes away
Wing Commander (retd) Muhammad Abdul Baaquie passed away on Saturday. He was 95.
He was a gold medalist from Aligarh University and had an illustrious career as an air force officer. He was also the first chairman of Philips Bangladesh.
Baaquie was the founder of a madrasa at his village home in Faridabad of Brahmanbaria and served for many years in a leadership position of the DOHS (Banani) mosque.
He left behind his sons Nehal Fazley Baaquie and Belal Ehsan Baaquie and a daughter Yasmeen Jilani Rosul and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
