A feast of programmes

Cultural organisations of the district held joyous Victory Day programmes, including processions, discussions and cultural events.
Pabna Drama Circle, a leading theatre organisation, held a procession bearing National Flags. Winding their way through the main streets of the district headquarters, they placed floral wreaths at the altar at Durjoy Pabna, a memorial for the martyrs of the Liberation War.
Artistes of the organisation held musical programmes centering on the freedom movements at central Shaheed Minar premises on Monday morning. The artistes performed patriotic music on the occasion.
Sammilito Sangshkritik Jote, Pabna brought out a colourful procession in front of the Pabna Press Club. Parading the main streets, they paid homage to the martyrs with flowers. Cultural activists from other organisations joined in.
A discussion focusing on the Liberation War was chaired by Faridul Islam Khokon, president of Sammilito Sangskritik Jote, Pabna. Among others, secretary of Sammilito Sangskritik Jote, Mahabubul Alam Liton, organiser of Udichi Biplob Bhattacharya, organiser of theater-77 Abul Kashem and cultural organiser Salfi Al Fattah spoke on the occasion.
Earlier, the Pabna district administration organised a discussion and cultural programme marking Victory Day at the Pabna Town Hall premises on Sunday night. Artistes from various organisations gave music and dance performances on the occasion.
