8 listed criminals arrested

Police arrested 1,403 people, including eight listed criminals, from different parts of the country in 24 hours ending at 6.00am yesterday.

They also seized 10 firearms, 15 other weapons and 17 bullets during the period and filed five cases against nine people under the Arms Act, said a police press release.
