7 employees of Mongla Port sacked

KHULNA, Jan 21: Mongla Port Authority on Thursday sacked seven employees-one for corruption and six for their "unlawful" recruitment, reports UNB.

Sources said the six were recruited last July. Besides, bulldozer driver Hasmat Ali, who was recruited 14 years ago, was terminated on charge of corruption.

When contacted, port authority declined to disclose names or designations of the employees dismissed for their unlawful recruitment.
