33kg gold found in flydubai flight

Law enforcers recovered 280 gold bars weighing around 33 kilograms from a Dubai-based low-cost carrier at Shahjalal International Airport in the capital today.
On information, a team of Airport Armed Police Battalion (APBn) recovered the gold bars from the toilet of a flydubai flight, which landed at the airport around 11:00am, said Md Iqbal Hossain, senior assistant superintendent of APBn.
The bars were kept under the toilet pan, the APBn official said.
No one was arrested in this connection, he said.
Police had information that a Bangladeshi was carrying the gold in the aircraft, he added.
