300 Hefajat activists sued for Mohakhali attack

A case has been filed against around 300 unidentified activists of Hefajat-e-Islam for attacking the leaders and activists of Ekattorer Ghatok Dalal Nirmul Committee and vandalising their stage in the capital's Mohakhali on Saturday.
Sub-Inspector Zakir Hossain of Banani Police Station filed the case on that night, said Banani police.
Several hundred people, who were about to participate in the long march of Hefajat-e-Islam at Motijheel, swooped on the activists of the Nirmul Committee at Mohakhali during the hartal called by 23 pro-liberation organisations, including the committee. Several activists of the committee were injured in the attack.
