3 killed in road crashes

Three people were killed and two others injured in separate road accidents across the country yesterday.
Our staff correspondent reports, a helper of a bus driver died as the vehicle ran him over in the capital's Motijheel area.
The incident occurred when Mohammad Jewel, 18, was about to get on the Rupali Bank staff bus but he slipped and fell on the road.
Our Patuakhali correspondent adds, Joynab Bibi, 65, of Chandrapara area, was killed when a motorbike hit her in the area of Baufal upazila. Two men on the motorbike were also injured as their vehicle veered out of control after hitting her.
Our Dinajpur correspondent reports, Chayen Uddin 60, of Debipur village, died after a motorbike hit him at Nijpara village in Birganj upazila.
