3 killed in Laxmipur road crash

Three people were killed and fire others injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Laxmipur on Thursday evening.

The deceased were identified as Md Chowdhury Mia, his son Md Yousuf and Md Shahjahan, reports our Noakhali correspondent.

Md Farid Uddin, in-charge of Chondrojong Highway Police Outpost told The Daily Star that the accident accrued at Purbo Mandari Bazar around 9:30pm.

Police seized the truck and auto-rickshaw. Driver however managed to flee the screen.
