3 BNP bodies call hartal in Rangpur for Thursday

Three associate bodies of BNP has called a daylong shutdown (hartal) in Rangpur for Thursday demanding release of their seven members including the president of the district unit of Jubo Dal arrested on May 19 for carrying explosives.

Jatiyatabadi Juba Dal, Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal and Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebak Dal will enforce the hartal from 6:00am, reported our Rangpur correspondent.

Nazmul Alam Nazu, acting president of district unit of Jubo Dal, announced 12-hour shutdown after holding a rally at Paira Chattar in the city.

On June 3, the organisations observed an eight-hour hartal over the same demand.
