Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained 27 people from Putkhali border early yesterday while they were trying to enter Indian territory illegally.
23 BGB commander Lt Col Tayeful Haq said, acting on tip-off, a BGB team raided the border point and detained 13 men, 11 women and three children.
They were being trafficked India without valid documents. The traffickers, however, managed of flee the scene.
