2 outlaws held with gun, bombs

Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested two members of an outlawed party along with firearm, bullets and bombs in Sadar upazila of the district on Tuesday night.
The arrestees are Hasanuzzaman, 34, son of Rustom Ali, and Chand Ali Mondol, 40, son of Hossain Ali Mondol. Both hail from Ghorashal village in the upazila.
Captain M Ashraf Ali, assistant commander of Jhenidah Rab-6, said a Rab team, acting on a tip-off, launched a drive at the village and arrested Hasanuzaaman and Chand Ali, members of outlawed Gono Mukti Fauz from Hasanuzzaman's house while other members of the party managed to flee.
The elite force recovered a shutter gun, two bullets and two bombs from the possession of the outlaws, who were later handed over to Sadar Police Station.
