16,000 women sign up for jobs abroad

More than 16,000 women have registered their names for foreign jobs since the government has launched the online registration process on April 7 for selecting qualified women job seekers.
The registration is going on at all the information service centres of local union parishad and ward in Chittagong and Khulna divisions from 9:00am to 5:00pm and will continue till Tuesday.
Yesterday 290 registered in Chittagong while 165 in Khulna. Earlier 14,976 registered in Rajshahi, Rangpur and Sylhet divisions from April 7 to 11.
The others of Dhaka and Barisal divisions will register from April 17 and 21.
The Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET) will provide training to those selected for jobs in Middle Eastern countries, Singapore and Hong Kong after registration.
