Ten Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal activists sustained injuries in a factional clash over sitting in the front row at a meeting of Sylhet district BNP in the city yesterday afternoon.
JCD men, led by Dakkhin Surma Upazila General Secretary Monsud Ahmed, clashed with the followers of the city Joint Secretary Iftekhar Ahmed Dinar at Malancha Community Centre, Kumarpara.
Sylhet Kotwali police Officer-in-Charge Ahmed Nasir Uddin said the rival factions hurled chairs to each other during the clash.
BNP standing committee member Khondaker Mosharraf Hossain was present at the meeting.
