8 nabbed in terror raids in Europe

At least five people were arrested during a anti-jihadist operation in southern France that was still ongoing early yesterday, a security source said. In Belgium, security forces arrested three suspected Islamist militants. Belgium has been on high alert after two suspected militants were shot dead on January 15.
Bedi sends notice to Kejriwal

BJP's chief ministerial nominee Kiran Bedi yesterday sent a legal notice to AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal for using her photograph in the party's poster campaign without her permission. The Aam Aadmi Party has recently put up posters asking the people of Delhi to choose between Kejriwal and Bedi for the post of chief minister.
Nato jet crashes in Spain; 11 killed

Officials yesterday investigated how a fighter jet crashed during Nato training exercises at an air force base in Spain, killing 11 military personnel leaving others with serious burns. Nine French and two Greek personnel died and about 20 people were injured after the two-seater F-16 crashed into parked aircraft at the Los Llanos base in southeastern Spain.
Facebook, Instagram suffer outage

Facebook and its Instagram photo-sharing site were interrupted temporarily yesterday, provoking panic and rumours of a hack. However, after restoring service, Facebook said the incident was caused by a maintenance error.
The breakdown reportedly lasted an hour and hit users in the United States, Europe and Asia.
