Trading resumes at Benapole land port

The export-import activities between Bangladesh and India through the Benapole land port resumed yesterday after a 12-hour shutdown.
The activities at the port came to a halt on Wednesday morning due to enforcement of a strike in West Bengal by an Indian political party.
On resumption of the activities, around 200 trucks laden with import goods entered Bangladesh, while 122 trucks laden with export goods went to India through the port.
